WINE & WAGS Wine & Wags is an after work program that provides individuals and businesses the opportunity to learn more about Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN) and the work we are doing with inmates and individuals living with a disability. There is no cost to attend, but at the end of the program you will be asked to make a one-time donation, sponsor a pup-in-training or join a special monthly giving initiative called ‘’Heart of the Mission’’ that has been generously matched up to $15,000 by Bright Ideas in Broad Ripple. Our goal this year is to raise $175,000+ in donations,
The evening is inspirational with stories about ICAN dogs changing lives on both ends of the leash. Testimonials and videos are presented by ICAN clients, former inmate handlers and community members.
The after-work program includes complimentary light appetizers, wine, beer & non-alcoholic beverages. You will have the opportunity to mingle with our dogs, puppies, volunteers, clients and former handlers.
How do I register to Attend?
More than 500 individuals attend Wine & Wags each year. A big part of our fundraising success depends on individuals or businesses who volunteer to serve as a Table Host inviting eight friends or co-workers to sit at their table who would be interested in learning more about us. If you are unable to host a table, we will place you with a table that is hosted by someone else.
Are children invited to Wine & Wags?
Due to the capacity of the Biltwell Event Center and the fact that this is ICAN’s largest fundraiser of the year where money is raised through the generosity of our guests, we ask that attendees be 12 and over.
What is involved to be a Table Host?
A Table Host wants to introduce others to ICAN by inviting guests to sit with him/her at the program. You can host a table as an Individual or as a Corporate/Business.
As a table host, Invite seven friends, family or coworkers that you believe would like to learn more about the mission of ICAN. There is no fee to attend, however guests will have an opportunity to contribute financially at the end of the evening. Your responsibility is to be strategic about filling your table with people who would be likely to connect with ICAN and provide a financial investment.
What is a Corporate Table Host?
A Corporate Table Host wants to financially support ICAN and wants to introduce others to ICAN’s mission by inviting guests to sit with him/her at the program.
What are my responsibilities as a Corporate Table Host?
1. Make a $1000 contribution to offset the event costs of Wine & Wags. *
2. Invite seven friends, family or coworkers that you believe would like to learn more about the mission of ICAN. There is no fee to attend, however guests will have an opportunity to contribute financially at the end of the evening. It is the Table Host’s responsibility to be strategic about filling the table with people who would be likely to connect with ICAN and provide a financial investment.
*Corporate Table Hosts will receive their logo on the evening’s program, event signage, ICAN website, advertisement and verbal recognition from the stage. *Those sponsoring a table as an individual will also be provided this benefit!
Are you ready to become a Table Host?
If so, please contact Dino (email@example.com) or Amanda (firstname.lastname@example.org) so that they can reserve a table for you and send you further details that will assist you in filling your table. They can also answer any questions you may have about the event. On September 12th from 5:30-7pm we will host an orientation for table hosts at Katz Sapper Miller located at 800 E. 96th Street, Suite 500 to receive more information and answer any questions, however, the information you receive, at the time you confirm to be a host, will help get you started! If you are unable to attend, you will receive an email or phone call with all the necessary info to prepare you for the day of the event.
