This blog will follow the life of a service dog in training named Blaze. He belongs to Indiana Canine Assistance Network (ICAN) but he's currently living with me for a couple months until he's old enough to enter formal training at prison. ICAN dogs live with puppy raisers until they're about 16 weeks old then they enter prison programs to fulfill all their training requirements. When they are about 2 years old, the successful dogs graduate and go home with their forever friends (people with disabilities) and serve their life's purpose.
